Custom Duties & VAT
- The RCM website gives you product pricing including and excluding VAT.
- If you are purchasing goods from within the UK you will be charged VAT at 20%.
- If you are purchasing goods from outside the UK, you will not be charged VAT.
- If purchasing from outside the UK, you will be charged duty and VAT on the goods you have purchased from RCM as it enters your country. It will be the responsibility of the purchaser to make sure these extra charges are paid on entry into the importing country.
DESCRIPTION
To achieve maximum on-track performance for your Subaru without valve spring failures, proper selection and testing of those components is critical to help maintain high-performance engines.
We use this very tool in the RCM engine build room. US-designed and built this tool utilizes electronic load cell technology with a digital display to provide consistent pressure ratings for valve, clutch and other small springs used in motorsports applications.
Calibrated using a certified process to ensure ultimate accuracy, Intercomp’s Valve Spring tester allows racers to test and rate the strength of valve, clutch and other small springs. Using these tools at pre-determined intervals, a racer can ensure maximum performance while reducing the chance of system failures.
The Valve Spring Tester is constructed of powder-coated aluminum and has a maximum capacity of 1,000 lb (500 kg). This heavy-duty, low[1]maintenance piece of equipment accommodates any spring up to two inches in diameter and four inches tall. The hand-crank and screw design allows a user to compress a spring to a specific height, and record the data while the spring remains under pressure. The backlit LCD display also offers a peak hold option to display the maximum spring force exerted at a given height.
With any high-quality motorsports program, the proper selection of engine components, and following a preventative maintenance plan that inspects high-wear or high-stress parts, is essential. Regardless of the type of racing, this Intercomp Valve Spring Tester improves maintenance programs and can provide the information needed to keep valve trains, clutches and other critical systems in optimal working order while reducing the chance for costly repairs.
The Intercomp Valve Spring Tester is portable, provides digital force and travel indication and is battery powered (9v) with 300 hour battery life.
The tester gives high accuracy and repeatability. Peak hold feature saves maximum reading.
Pushbutton On/Off and Zero makes this unit user friendly.
