Subaru Impreza 2003-2005 Spare Parts

The first face lift model of the 2nd generation Impreza was affectionately referred to as the Blobeye. Large styling changes to the front end including bonnet, headlights and bumper greatly improved the looks of the car for it then to go on and be sold in larger numbers.

“Competition Improves the Breed!” There continued to be a huge push from STI in Japan to stay ahead of the competition on the Motorsport arena. Due to the rules of homologation and to be legal, these improvements had to be present on the production vehicle.

The EJ Engine and drivetrain remained largely unchanged but for JDM models a twin scroll turbo configuration was developed to encourage turbo spool and increase power and torque.

More updates followed in 2005 with a number of subtle improvements which also included larger front wheel bearings, 5x114 PCD wheel hubs, revised aluminium rear suspension, rear arch flares, a new steering rack and mounts plus a wider overall track. These further improved the cars handling and at the same time made the car more robust and reliable.

The RCM product range continued to grow during this time as we entered the Time Attack stage where unlike rallying, there are no restrictions on power or homologation constraints. We also had demand from our growing customer base to produce higher levels of performance, reliably which further accelerated the growth of our own performance parts range.
