RCM Replacement Outer Window Weather Strips – Subaru Impreza 2 Door 1996–2000

RCM replacement outer door window weather strips for the 1996–2000 2-door Subaru Impreza – recreated to replace the original FHI components which are now discontinued and no longer available from Japan.

The outer window weather strips sit along the top edge of the door and form the seal against the outside of the door glass. They are a small but important part of the classic Impreza's weather protection, helping to prevent water and dirt from passing down inside the door while also finishing the exterior edge of the glass correctly.

After more than 25 years, the original strips on many 2-door Imprezas have deteriorated considerably. The rubber can harden, shrink, split and perish, losing its ability to sit firmly against the glass. Aside from looking tired, damaged weather strips allow considerably more water and contamination into the door cavity.

With the original FHI/Subaru parts now discontinued and no longer available from Japan, RCM has recreated these increasingly difficult-to-find components for the 1996–2000 2-door Impreza.

Manufactured as a direct replacement for the original weather strips, they restore the correct seal along the outer edge of the door glass and are ideal for both full restorations and cars simply needing to replace their ageing original rubber components.

As classic Imprezas continue to age, rubber components are becoming one of the most noticeable areas of deterioration. Even on cars with excellent paintwork and bodywork, worn outer weather strips can spoil the appearance around the door glass.

RCM's replacement strips provide a solution now that the genuine FHI components are no longer available, allowing owners and restorers to replace the deteriorated originals rather than having to reuse increasingly scarce second-hand parts.
